This Sunday we begin our One Prayer series. Looking forward to this for a number of reasons.
One of my reasons for doing this is to introduce our church to video technology as a way to expand our capacity to reach people. Hundreds of churches are already utilizing video to multiply their reach capacity.
This idea will eventually take the video church/ministry experience to a whole nuther level. Holographic ministry. Think of the reach potential to previously unreachable places.
The church (well, some of the church) has always utilized technology to expand it’s reach. From the printing press (Gutenberg Bible), to radio, to TV, to internet, to podcasts - etc.
Technology opens new arenas of abundance.
Think about it.

A good friend of mine will soon graduate with a Cisco "degree". He says that it is all about The Human Network- the connection between humans, the machine being only the means to an end.
My first thought on this holographic thing was- can you imagine if Jesus had this kind of technology at his disposal?
Big duh second thought- hello, He does... with us, today,right now.
Isn't it cool to be alive for all this stuff?
Turning up ones nose at all this innovation is akin to telling God you'd rather get his name out there in your own antiquated way.
Jesus... the ultimate tech support.

If Jesus had pulled out all of the technology for us when he physically walked the earth, I do believe several heads would have exploded.
BUT, God knew all along He would bring these things to us "for such a time as this," and with it, He has given us the wisdom to harness it...together...and to bring the kind of blessing UNITY is attached to into the American church! It's absolute beauty!
I appreciate the fact that we can join as one and make this happen...and as for the Rock, we can bust wide open what is truly the future for our church. What a fantastic way to get the "God-downloads" we hear every week from PK out beyond our 4 walls, our community, and our region!

What a great way to introduce us to video church! I really enjoyed Sunday's message and am looking forward to hearing the other speakers in the next few weeks. Who says a person can't be in more than one place at the same time?
