Christmas for 500 Kids

Posted by Posted by Kirk Bowman On 3:48 PM

Last year our church heroically stepped up and made Christmas happen for 500 underprivileged children who would not have experienced any presents for Christmas without our help.

It was awesome to bless all those kids. And families.

We're doing it again this year. As of right now, we have pledged sponsorship for almost 300 kids.

Could I encourage you to get involved in helping us bless kids in Jesus name.

We just have a short window of time left to get this done.

The Bible is clear about God's heart for the poor. My heart always goes to kids, especially. They are the ultimate victims of poverty. They really have no options.

We are blessed to be a blessing! Let's rise up and do this.

  1. Cheetah Said,

Thanksgiving day, my wife asked my 24 yr old son what he wanted for Christmas. He has a couple months to go for his Masters, and does missionary work every summer, and leads the BCM ministry at UWF. He said he usually just finds a way to purchase anything he really needs or wants. Relieved that we weren't having to look for expensive gifts, we asked ourselves what we should do for christmas this year and in the future. The suggestion was made to buy for others in need during Christmas time for their children. We have committed to this for the rest of our years.

Those that have grown children, or funds to bless others outside their young family, are truly blessed. It feels so good, and so right to pass that blessing to others in need. Help others through our church, through tree angels at work, or any other means available to you. It's not about what we have, but what we give that lives on.
