Spiderman 3

Just went to see Spiderman 3 a couple of days ago. Amazing!

I'm not a big movie person. Maybe 4 or 5 a year. But I love the spiderman series.

I loved Marvel comics as a kid. Spent my entire 10 year old weekly allowance every week on comic books. Mostly Marvel.

Spidey 3 deals with revenge and forgiveness. And does it well.

Forgiveness is releasing yourself from the hurts others have inflicted. Holding on to vengeance only eats you up on the inside. Let it go. No use in carrying that hurt around forever. They may have hurt you in the past. Don't let them keep hurting you.

If you haven't seen Spiderman 3, Go!

I love Super heroes. They make you want to take action. Be braver. Wear spandex.

Forgiveness...I am getting better at that. It just feels good. Even if the offending party hasn't asked to be forgiven, even if the offending party is ones self- letting go of the offense frees up that place I was storing all that vengeful junk. Kind of like deleting old files on the computer...more room for the new and good stuff.

Jesus, forgiving. Spandex, not so much.

I love when you enjoy a good movie! And I love even more our shared childhood addiction to Marvel comics. SM3 left me speechless for an hour - just overwhelmed with the theme, and with seeing Venom, black Spidey and Sandman come to life.
Hey, go to YouTube and search "marvel dc". You'll find 4 consecutive videos of Spider-Man and Superman as "Marvel" and "DC" spoofing the Apple/PC ads on television. You'll get a good laugh from them!

i am not a movie person either. 2 hours is a long time to sit and watch something-and what if i hate it? i only want to watch near perfection. so i never watch anything.

i struggle with seeing someone as horrible forever and not releasing them to change in my mind. grudges seem to be easy.

and i was totally with you on the teenage attitude thing this morning. but then i would hate to meet the person i was at 15. she was wretched!
