Another Great Weekend

We had another great weekend at The Rock Church.

Team Church Night on Friday was a blast. Worship, praying, vision casting, racing through the tunnel, ice cream, honoring our awesome volunteers. It was all so good!

Sunday was another amazing day. Really enjoying this Parables series. Only 1 more to go! 24 people raised their hands to commit or recommit to Christ!

Then we had Volunteer Fair after church on Sunday. Always great to meet new people and see them get plugged in to the life of the house. Almost 50 new people signed up to fill 86 areas of involvement. How cool is that?!

Wow! Church feels so good right now.

  1. Anonymous Said,

The team church night was awesome. There was good worship, funny awards ceremony (it took me awhile to realize it was like the academy awards ceremony for volunteers, duh!). A great competition that was neck and neck (Team 2 won!), and Kirk talking about the vision for this upcoming year.

The only thing I got out of the vision was, which keeps getting said over and over..."Love God, Lift People, and Change the World." Oddly enough it is really simple to do and I have done that with a few of my friends, and one of them finally is committed to a church and finally what PK says "He Gets It". And that is what our vision as a church is to find people (lift people) that want to commit to God and let them "Get it"

    PK PK PK!

I have heard several people comment on the Isaiah 61:7 word from Team Church - people who hadn't heard it yet. It did something powerful in them to hear transparency and strength all in the same breath. Here's to freedom - free to once again stand confident & firm in the vision with no apologies, and when we close our eyes to really see people streaming into the house of God...and know that's what HE sees!

It really has been a pleasure. Good coffee, two beautiful people, an opportunity of a lifetime, how is it that I am so blessed?
I am excited to see what God will do for you.
As I face out unsure of what I am about to take on, I am taking this moment to say a mushy thank you from the privacy of my own computer. You have no idea how much this has meant to me personally and I am going to miss both of you so much more than I care to admit (mainly because I would not be able to do it without sobbing).
Until we meet again... I am asking God to do much more than you can imagine.
