We had a great day in church yesterday. I know I keep saying this but worship is off the chain right now.
It felt really good to preach again. It’s been quite a few weeks because of One Prayer. I think I actually went a bit long. A little bottled up.
Our church is responding to our 99 Days of Serving in a humongous way. Teams are going all over Asheville doing good. It’s so cool. Our next Big Serve Day is coming up this Saturday, July 19. We’re going to help Habitat for Humanity.
BTW, if you are part of our church please go to this website and log in some of your experiences in serving this summer.

What a powerful message on Sunday -The Parable of the Vine - how HUGE! To accept the idea that fruit does not come with striving, trying or straining, but by simply... abiding. That's a BIG DEAL.
I too loooooved One Prayer (yay! Unity!)but so glad to have you back PK. Your messages are challenging and truth and sweet and gentle and refreshing - all at once! I have no idea how you do that.

It was good to have "Dad" back.
One Prayer was absolutely phenomenal - especially getting that many people together for one purpose...what a picture of God's plan for the body of Christ!...
BUT, I was missing having our Pastor in the pulpit...and when you took the stage again, I REALLY realized how much! Wow!
AND, what a message - so convicting and uplifting all in the same breath. I don't want to stop bearing fruit...and how simple it is to do so or NOT to do so - by attaching or detaching.
God never made things complicated - WE do that! He simply made things profoundly simply...and life-changing!
Thanks for always "making it plain" Pastor. Someone said last night that you seem to have come back to yourself instead of "nicing it up" and it was refreshing. I simply say, "Rock ON!"
